My current beauty routine is pretty consistent and filled with the basics. Once I find a beauty product I love, I stick with it. The products definitely all live up to their hype and really are must haves for any girls bathroom beauty drawer.
I have started to realize that time only seems to speed up. Sometimes the days seem long, but the years still manage to get shorter. So, I wanted to make a list of gentle reminders to tell myself daily to live by in my 20s.
20 things to live by in my 20s:
1. Cherish your friends (good friends are hard to find)
2. You don't always have to be right.
3. Dress to impress.
4. Keep your skin young (wear sun-screeen)
5. Take pictures (lots)
6. Put your phone away (live a little)
7. Take a compliment.
8. Go the speed limit
9. Read your Bible (glorify God, His timing is perfect)
left to right: snake, rattle and roll, mamba, demure vix, miss fancy pants, smokin' hot and mochcino
I love to get my nails done, but sometimes it is a treat to buy a color that I love and do an at-home mani and pedi. I usually always have a color of my nails (and toes) depending on my mood or the season. I thought I would share a few of my fall favorites. (if you could not tell, Essie is my favorite polish)
Looking to get lost in a good book? Read Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty. It follows the lives of three women who are at crossroads with their ex-husbands, second wives, mothers, daughters, a school yard scandal and the lies they tell themselves just to survive. I started it just a few days ago and have not been able to put it down since (except when I have to study of course.) It is such a quick and easy read! The Husbands Secret also by Liane Moriarty is next on my list to read.
As my very first post rather than posting about the latest fashion or beauty trends I wanted to post about something else that I love. Taylor Swift. Ever since I have been in middle school I have been obsessed with her. Something about how she is so real and honest makes her so likable. (although her dance moves could use a little work.) I have always looked up to her and would consider her one of my role models. I am super excited because her new album comes out in just one week!
